SARC-6 6mm ARC

6mm ARC // 12.5-inch carbine // ICAR-magazine compatible receiver set

The reach of a precision cartridge, engineered into a compact platform built around the magazine the cartridge always needed. The SARC-6 is the first ICAR-magazine compatible 6mm ARC rifle offered to the public—built on a Quadradyn-modified ICAR receiver set, gauged end to end, and configured for hard use by law enforcement, military professionals, and the demanding civilian defender.

SEC.01

Every SARC-6 shares the same receiver set, 12.5-inch 6mm ARC architecture, buffer system and release inspection. Your configuration decides four things: which barrel steel you get, how the gas block is attached, the bolt behind it, and the trigger—an ALG ACT on the stainless build, an ALG QMS on the CMV and Spec-Ops builds. Barrel steel and gas-block attachment pull the accuracy-versus-durability trade in opposite directions, so read the cards before you pick.

The precision selection. A stainless 12.5-inch barrel paired with a clamp-on adjustable gas block so nothing bears on the barrel except the clamp itself. Choose it when group size matters more than round count.

Gas Block & Bolt

SEC.02 // WHY THEY DIFFER

Stainless // Clamp-On Gas

Built for accuracy

The stainless SARC-6 uses a clamp-on adjustable gas block. A clamp-on block grips the gas journal evenly around its full circumference instead of driving set screws into the barrel. Nothing dents, dimples, or point-loads the steel under the block, so the barrel keeps the concentric, stress-free profile it left the machine with. That is the point of choosing stainless in the first place: a barrel selected for machining consistency deserves a gas block that does not disturb it.

The adjustable port lets the shooter meter gas for suppressed or unsuppressed use, ammunition lot, and temperature, which keeps carrier speed civil and protects brass, extractor, and the bolt itself. Stainless is the less durable of the two barrel steels under sustained heat, but for a shooter who values repeatability shot to shot, it is the more precise choice.

Bolt

The stainless configuration ships with Quadradyn's enhanced Type II bolt, cut to the 6mm ARC case-head geometry and paired with the full-profile carrier and H2 recoil system. Every stainless rifle is gauged for headspace, bolt-to-carrier relationship, and gas-system fit before release.

CMV // Set-Screw Gas

Built for round count

The CMV SARC-6 uses a set-screw adjustable gas block seated into the barrel. Set screws bear directly on the journal, which is exactly why we specify them here: a set-screw block resists rotation and creep under heat, impact, and high round counts better than a clamp does. Combined with a chrome-moly vanadium barrel that shrugs off throat erosion and sustained fire far longer than stainless, the result is a rifle that trades a measure of raw precision for durability.

The block remains adjustable, so the same suppressor tuning applies. What changes is how the block holds the barrel: less movement, more margin, a rifle you can run hot without checking screws every session.

Bolt

The CMV configuration also gets a different bolt. The 6mm ARC case head is wider than 5.56, which thins the rim of a conventional AR-15 bolt face and is the historical weak point of small-frame 6 ARC rifles. The CMV bolt is machined with a thicker bolt-face rim, which ensures bolt integrity under sustained rapid fire. If your SARC-6 will see mag dumps, drills, and duty use, this is the configuration.

Spec-Ops. The Spec-Ops configuration uses the CMV barrel and thick-rim bolt with a set-screwed and pinned, non-adjustable gas block, finished in Duraveil. A pinned gas block can decrease accuracy above 500 yards, especially after thousands of rounds. We do not divulge the full Duraveil technique; suffice it to say the exterior is invisible to infrared and the interior is extremely slick and easy to clean.

DOCTRINE 01 // CARTRIDGE
01 / SPECIAL-MISSION DNA

6 ARC — Selected for the Mission.

Hornady introduced 6mm ARC in 2020 after a specialized U.S. Department of Defense group selected and fielded it for a multipurpose combat-rifle program. The brief was consequential: move efficient 6mm projectiles through an AR-15-size system and extend practical reach without the recoil and carry burden of .308.

Open-source unit context

Photographs published in July 2026 show 1st SFOD-D operators carrying the SureFire ICAR in 6mm ARC, and the rifle was reportedly used in the January 2026 raid that captured Nicolás Maduro. Quadradyn treats that reporting as context, not as an endorsement of Quadradyn. Read the full history in our Intelligence file.

DOCTRINE 02 // RECEIVER
02 / ICAR-MAGAZINE COMPATIBLE

The Right Magazine, Finally.

SARC-6 is built on the Sabre-IC receiver set from Palmetto State Armory, an ICAR-pattern set with the wider Six8-lineage magwell that the Magpul PMAG 25 ICAR was designed for. Quadradyn modifies that receiver set before assembly, and the receivers are a small part of the complete firearm: barrel, gas system, bolt, carrier, recoil system, and inspection are ours.

03 / MEASURED, NOT ASSUMED

Gauged. Not Assumed.

Every SARC-6 is dimensionally evaluated end to end using a measurement-first inspection plan informed by School of the American Rifle practices. Headspace, bolt and carrier relationships, gas-system interfaces, feed geometry, and control function must meet the written Quadradyn acceptance standard before release.

A matched, Quadradyn-modified Sabre-IC upper and lower give the 6mm ARC cartridge stack and its dedicated 25-round magazine an architecture designed around their geometry—not a 5.56 envelope asked to improvise.

02 // BARREL

Hard-Use 12.5

Stainless or CMV, the 12.5-inch barrel is threaded for a properly timed muzzle device and paired with a mid-length gas system and your choice of clamp-on or set-screw adjustable gas control.

03 // TRIGGER

ALG, Matched to the Build

The stainless build carries an ALG ACT; the CMV and Spec-Ops builds carry an ALG QMS. Both are single-stage duty triggers with full-power ignition and refined engagement surfaces: a clean, predictable break without turning a field carbine into a delicate instrument.

04 // BOLT

Bolt Matched to the Barrel

The larger 6mm ARC case head asks more of the locking system. Stainless rifles carry the enhanced Type II bolt; CMV and Spec-Ops rifles carry the thick-rim bolt. Both are checked with the low-friction carrier and tuned H2 recoil system.
